I figured I'd put together this page of examples to help people get the feel of just how powerful this could be.
Let's say somebody, we'll call him John Exampleton, is involved in an affiliate program promoting camping gear. He gets a commission every time somebody he refers buys a new easy-pack pup tent that can sleep 4 people.
He hears about the the Real Network from a friend of his, comes to this site and reads about it and decides to join. He sends me an email from John_examplton@email.com. saying hello, his name, and the name of his hiking/outdoor blog (let's say it's called "John's outdoor blog" and is at: http://www.outdoorblog.com). and the affiliate product he's promoting on it. I say welcome to the club and put his name on the list along with the site/product he needs traffic to. So it would look like:
John Exampleton
email: john_exampleton@ email.com
Site(s)/products needing traffic:
John's Outdoor Blog. Url: http://www.outdoorblog.com

John sends me an email with sites he wants traffic on > I send the updated list (i.e. with John's name on it now) out to the other list members > The other members begin visiting John's site as well as sending their friends and generating leads in any number of ways > John gets a huge surge of site visitors, clicks on his ads, and of course sales> People that have visited and gotten others to visit tell John that in an email> He returns the favor by visiting and promoting THEIR sites.
You can see how if even one or two people were to do this for John's blog, he'd see a large surge of traffic, because these people would not only be visiting themselves, but bringing others. Now imagine 10 people doing it. Now 100!
This is simple networking/advertising theory of course, been know for a long time. But the Real Network is all about doing it with full awareness that we're doing it, and doing it for our own select "sub-network." Strange, but the obvious escapes a lot of people. If we all simply set up cash generating sites, and do what I describe above, we coud all become unbelievably rich.
